I'm a Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in software development and DevOps, based in Guatemala City. I specialize in backend systems, enterprise integrations and cloud infrastructure, with a strong track record across industries including telecommunications, insurance, logistics and fintech.
I thrive at the intersection of software and infrastructure. Outside of professional work, I run a personal homelab built on Proxmox, Docker and a self-hosted networking stack — which has deepened my passion for automation, observability and systems reliability.
My development methodology is SCRUM — adopted since the beginning of my career — and I hold a Professional SCRUM Developer I certification. I believe in clean code, continuous improvement and getting things deployed correctly from day one.

2023 – PresentContractor at Improving, a software consulting firm. Assigned to multiple client engagements across industries including healthcare, technology and digital media. Also contributing directly to internal platform development using Sitefinity CMS, building custom widgets and template applications with .NET Framework and Dynamics 365 integrations, plus a React.js frontend using Redux reducers and Ant Design components with custom hooks.
Client Engagements
Software Engineer for a Partner Referral Portal integrated with Pipedrive, providing real-time deal visibility and referral-based rewards. Led end-to-end development of a new module within a 2-month timeframe, transitioning a fully manual process into a scalable automated solution. Full-stack engineer across Proxima and Manager App.
Software Engineer for a Digital Music Platform Modernization, transitioning a legacy app into a subscription-based model (streaming, sheet music, devotional videos). Built micro-frontend architecture with React/Vite and .NET backend, accelerating releases from monthly to weekly cadence.

Software Developer II / Software Configuration Manager
2020 – 2023Software developer for Travelers Insurance Business Unit, working with custom tools for paper and electronic document intake and Optical Character Recognition. Led the company's migration to Git version control and became sole responsible for Software Configuration Management across all teams — including version control strategy, release pipelines via Azure DevOps and continuous improvement of the CI/CD process.
IT Engineer / Tester
2019 – 2020Supported telecommunications applications for Telefónica Spain. Responsibilities included analysis of new software requirements, production deployments, incident resolution and regression testing for backend services built with Java, Spring and Hibernate.
